 My Approach

My coaching, training and facilitation are grounded in principles of anti-racism and anti-oppression. I offer coaching and training focused on these issues, in addition to more traditional executive coaching and organizational development. All leadership work — and anti-racism and anti-oppression work, in particular — must begin with knowledge of and reflection on ourselves. My practice is grounded in Carol Dweck’s “growth mindset” and we make progress starting from where each individual and organization is.

Coaching

Speaking Engagements

 

Rini is a compelling speaker who has addressed a wide variety of topics at diverse events and conferences. Topics include civil and human rights, law and organizing, building a just democracy, civic engagement, racial justice and equity. She also speaks on racial justice and equity, and anti-racist and anti-oppressive principles, and can tailor the message effectively to meet the needs of large and small groups. 

Packages

 

I offer a range of packages combining coaching, facilitation and organizational development to meet the needs of individuals and organizations. One sample engagement is highlighted below, but please reach out to explore how we can most effectively work together.

This sample intensive engagement facilitates organizational progress by combining coaching, team work and organizational development, and generally will take place over two to five months.

Building an Anti-Racist and Anti-Oppressive Team (3-6 team members) — This package introduces a small team to anti-racist and anti-oppressive practices, and includes the development of an action plan to put the organization on the path to becoming anti-racist and anti-oppressive. We will explore how these values operate at work, and support individual and team growth around each of them. Over the course of this engagement, I will meet with each team member individually and in group sessions. Together we will explore the intersections of our race journeys and our working styles, and how race impacts our work internally and externally. By the conclusion of our work together, we will develop action steps to address racial inequity in the organization, practices for your team to develop an anti-racist culture and, as applicable, recommendations for your organization more broadly.

Virtual Services During COVID-19

 

All of the above services can be offered virtually during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Rini brings her authentic energy and warmth to virtual engagements and effectively connects with individuals and groups even during these most trying times for successful virtual coaching sessions, trainings and speaking engagements.
